For children entering grades K and up and their families. 
Explore a rainbow of colors and cultures with Angela Joy, the author of Black is a Rainbow Color. Enjoy the story and then dive deeper into the “secret” historical messages embedded in each page. Celebrate differences, learn some history, and build community along the way. Registered participants will receive a craft to do at home before the program. 
Angela Joy is an author, substitute teacher, Girl Scout Cookie manager, Troop Leader, fifth grade book club moderator, and music lover; Black Is a Rainbow Color is her first book. 
This program will be presented using Zoom. Participants must register and provide a working email address to receive the login information. This event is co-hosted by Mount Prospect Public Library and Des Plaines Public Library. Copies of the book are available for purchase at Semicolon Bookstore.
