VIRTUAL The Wisdom of Birds - Zoom Edition

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Event Details

Master Naturalist Kim White presents a fascinating discussion where she dispels the fallacy of the term “bird brain.” Learn about the many examples where previous held beliefs about the intelligence of birds are outdated. Research now shows how intelligent many species of birds really are. From creating tools, to playing and problem solving, we’re discovering that some birds can even rival primates in genius.
White spent 19 years associated with Brookfield Zoo's Education Department as both a volunteer and employee. She is a co-steward for the DuPage County Forest Preserve, education coordinator for the DuPage Monarch Project, and an avid gardener for both food production and habitat creation. This program is cosponsored in partnership with the Garden Club of Mount Prospect.
This program will be presented using Zoom. Participants must register and provide a working email address to receive the login information.
